I was Just playing with Gimp filters when this image came out. I freely admit to have poor skills in abstract art, but i loved the final result and i would like to share with you all. If we put our brain muscles to work, we can see two flame birds fighting each other :)

Dude, if you can recreate this in Paint Shop Pro and tell me how you did it, I would be most grateful :0

Okay, so, um, what did the picture look like before you went to town with the filters, then? :D

Cool! It looks like there's a being right there in the middle of it all. Some lurking dark form

I started with the plasma filter (filter -> render -> clouds -> plasma) as a base image to see the effects of each filter. 30 minutes later i realized that there is a filter that can do abstract effects. It s the flame filter (filter -> render -> nature -> flame). In the flame window, you click on "edit" and pick a picture you like, or click "randomize" to generate more pictures until you find an eye-catching one. Click "ok" and run the filter. Now all you need is to colorize the picture (color -> colorize or color -> color balance and open a champagne to celebrate :)

P.S: I used Gimp 2.4.0 to do this ;)

humanofprey, great work again man! The flames are amazing!

And i saw a "Slime" (a fantasy RPG creature) on the up-left-near-corner. Really cool.
